About me
Dr. Renae Bryant is a leader, author, and speaker who serves as the Director of Plurilingual Services at Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) in Anaheim, California where she works collaboratively with scholars, staff, families and community to build systems and processes to increase student access, opportunity, equity and success. On the weekend she co-hosts The EdBranding Podcast and is the co-author of The Ed Branding Book: How to Build Educational Leadership with Social Influence. She is the founder and facilitator of the Leadership Book Chat and leads national book studies featuring expert speakers and authors. With over twenty years in education, Renae has served as a district, site and teacher leader, doctoral level adjunct professor, administrator coach, and started her career as a bilingual special education instructional assistant. She is the contributing author to Radically Inclusive Teaching for Emergent Plurilingual Newcomers: Braving Up and the author of Teacher Leader Behaviors: A Quantitative Study of a Teacher Leader Development Academy and Teacher Leaders’ Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership Behaviors (ProQuest).
Dr. Bryant earned her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership at the University of La Verne in 2017 and completed AASA/USC Urban Superintendents Academy, Stanford EdLEADers Program and Azusa Pacific University Next Generation Superintendents Academy. She was named 2019 ACSA Region 17 Valuing Diversity Administrator of the Year, 2022 MOSAIC Inclusivity Awardee, and in 2023 was honored with two Women of Distinction Awards, one from 34th Senate District, Senator Thomas J. Umberg and one by 67th Assembly District, Sharon Quirk-Silva. She was named 2024 California Association of Bilingual Educators District Administrator of the Year.
